The platform was designed to simplify the online purchase of medical supplies and equipment, offering a seamless experience from product discovery to doorstep delivery.
With a focus on accessibility, inventory accuracy, and healthcare-specific features, the platform enables patients, caregivers, and healthcare institutions to easily find and order essential home health products. It supports both one-time and recurring purchases, product quote requests, and integration with logistics and customer support systems, making healthcare shopping easier, faster, and more reliable.

Alessa Home Health Solutions, developed for Alessa Med—Kuwait’s leading provider of home care and medical equipment—is a Magento-based eCommerce platform designed to streamline the online purchase of medical supplies. Built on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce Cloud using PHP and GraphQL, the platform offers a seamless and intuitive user experience, from product discovery to doorstep delivery. To complement the website, we also developed native mobile applications using Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS, empowering users to access essential healthcare products anytime, anywhere with ease and confidence.

Custom rules allow for product-specific logic, such as expiry-based visibility, restricted states, or purchase limits tied to certifications. Backend tools empower admins to override automation when needed, ensuring flexibility without compromising control.

Document & Compliance Support

Each product supports document uploads for user manuals, certifications, compliance reports, or prescription requirements. This ensures transparency for institutional buyers and regulatory audits. Documents are stored securely and rendered clearly for download or online viewing. Product detail pages are dynamically structured to surface these documents at decision-critical moments.

The platform supports multi-level user access including admin, procurement officer, healthcare staff, and finance teams. Permissions are tailored per role to control ordering, approval, inventory access, and financial reporting. Real-time alerts for order confirmation, dispatch, delay, or support escalations are sent via Email, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app push notifications. Notification templates dynamically adapt based on product category, user role, and order priority to ensure clarity and compliance.

Analytics & Security

We integrated real-time dashboards for tracking delivery SLAs, turnaround times, and user-level activity metrics. Stakeholders can view product performance by geography, order size, or repeat purchase behavior. Security is ensured with OTP-based login, session expiry, device-level restrictions, and failed login lockouts. A full audit trail logs every user action—ideal for compliance-sensitive workflows in healthcare procurement.
